Because I am a woman, you have considered me "cursed."
Because I am a woman, you wanted to throw me in a dumpster after birth...
Because I am a woman, you thought of me as a "calamity."
Because I am a woman, you always considered me a "burden" throughout my life...
Because I am a woman, you questioned my conscience and intellect.
Because I am a woman, you labeled me as always naive, inactive, and ignorant...
Because I am a woman, you have shown me so much neglect.
Because I am a woman, you’ve blocked my progress...
Because I am a woman, you looked at my smile with disdain.
Because I am a woman, you envied my success...
Because I am a woman, you tried to bind me in the chains of subjugation.
Because I am a woman, you’ve belittled me in society...
Because I am a woman, you have humiliated me in countless ways.
Because I am a woman, you’ve inflicted so much violence upon me...
Because I am a woman, you considered me "helpless."
Because I am a woman, you’ve bound me under the guise of protection...
Because I am a woman, you tried to exploit me for your own benefit...
Because I am a woman, you coerced me to fulfill your lust and desires...
Yet, I smile at the thought—
A woman like me gave you birth!
She tore apart her own body to bring you into this world...
She loved you with an endless
heart.
She bore all your troubles on her head...
Like the vastness of the ocean, she shielded you selflessly...
Like the vast sky, she nurtured you to greatness...
She became a tigress to protect you.
And once again, she embraced you like a wax doll...
So, I am content, I am happy
Because I am a ‘woman,’ and I can accept everything with a smile, illuminating myself.

I don’t want Women’s Day, I don’t want Men’s Day. I believe in "Human Day." Because even though I am a woman, my bigger identity is that I am a human. I want every day of my life to be for the welfare of humanity, for humans.
But the truth is, there are still many women in this world who are neglected by the state, society, and family. This writing is dedicated to those women in our country who are still deprived, subjected to injustice and torture, and are neglected in their own families or communities. This is dedicated to my sisters.
